In collaboration with the company ARRI company Carl Zeiss has created ARRI MASTER PRIME Lens with T1.3 aperture. The advent of high-aperture lenses and good optical performance was made possible by new technology, the use of special glass, aspherical surfaces, improved coverage.
Even when shooting at night Master Prime lenses provide good attention to detail, they are equipped with a built-in Lens Data System (LDS). This system can have three different configurations: Lens Data Archive (any lens with different cameras), Lens Data Mount (any LDS-lens cameras), Lens Data Ultra (LDS-LDS-lens cameras).
System Lens Data System shows real-time status of the lens (the position of the focus, iris, zoom, depth of field, near focus, battery status, speed and other characteristics). This information is displayed on the Lens Data Display, which allows the operator to run faster, especially if the camera is on a crane or with a Steadicam.
