We present you RED HELIUM 8K S35. This is a top-end camera, thanks in large part to HELIUM 8K Super-35 sensor. HELIUM is unique in that it allows you to record video in 8K with high resolution, which is very useful in classic cinema.

REDCODE RAW is a unique format in HELIUM. The universal raw RED codec uses compression to reduce data transfer rates while maintaining visualization without image loss. This efficient codec can be edited on many available NLE software products without transcoding, although if you prefer a proxy workflow, ProRes or DNx files can be written to MINI-MAG media at the same time.

Reducing the recording resolution allows the sensor to capture higher frame rates for impressive slow motion frames. All HELIUM power is enclosed in a relatively small case consisting of magnesium and aluminum. The size of HELIUM makes it very versatile. HELIUM can be mounted on studio tripods, handheld, unmanned, or vehicle mounted.

At 35.4 megapixels, the 8K HELIUM sensor shows the highest results. Smooth lines and shapes are displayed without the “stairstepping” artifacts found in the low-resolution frame. If you need higher frame rates, lower resolutions and higher proportions EPIC-W gives up to 300 frames per second. RED HELIUM sensor has 16.5 stops of the dynamic range and is capable of representing both deep shadows and hot highlights within a single frame.
